Super Bowl Predictions

Super Bowl predictions. This year’s Super Bowl features two high powered offenses when the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons in what could shape up to be the most memorable Super Bowl of the last decade.

Super Bowl 51 hosts the highest scoring offense in the Falcons who averaged 33.8 points a game this season. The Patriots have the third ranked offense as far as points with 27.6 points per game over the 2016-17 campaign.

The Falcons will have to put of points against the Patriots’ 25th overall defense. On paper this sounds like an easy task, but do not underestimate what Patriots coach Bill Belichick will have in store for the Falcons come Sunday evening. The Falcons had a bit of a better season in terms of defense they are ranked 8th overall in the league. That is quite a considerable discrepancy in the defense of the two teams.

My prediction for this game is not an easy one. There are so many things to take into account, like which Patriots defense will show up? Will it be the one who held the Steelers to just one offensive touchdown in the AFC Championship Game or will is be the one that gave up 31 points in a loss to Seattle earlier this year. We’ll have to wait and see. My prediction is Falcons 38 Patriots 24. I just don’t think the Patriots can stop the Falcons potent offense. The Falcons will get the stops they need to come out on top.

In the end it will come down to one thing, which defense can get the crucial stops to secure a victory. As the old saying goes offense wins games but defense wins championships.

Which team do you think will win?
